New Delhi, Dec 2: Hindu Mahasabha General Secretary Naveen Tyagi came up with a shocking demand which has already created controversy. Now, Tyagi demanded that all item girls should be declared "prostitutes".
According to TV reports, Tyagi now claimed that he will move the Supreme Court with his demand of declaring item girls as prostitutes. Speaking to media, Tyagi also claimed that girls should not wear skirts as their school dress.
Tyagi and his organisation -- Hindu Mahasabha earlier had issued diktat in Haryana saying that girls should be banned from wearing jeans and using mobile phones in schools and colleges. [Read: Hindu Mahasabha dress-code diktat for women, a litmus test for Khattar?]
Haryana is ridden with Khap courts and is battling their decrees against women's lifestyle. Hindu Mahasava's diktat created more trouble for women in the state.
Senior Khap members supported such diktats while saying, "if women dress up skimpily, men will be attracted and mistakes may happen. It is better to look into the way you dress up. Rapes will not decrease if you wear such clothes. So, wear decent clothes."
The latest demand of the general secretary of the Hindu Mahasava created ruckus as micro-blgging site Twitter went abuzz with criticism against Tyagi.
