2 Dalit men beaten to death in Bihar

Munger (Bihar), Sept 28: Two Dalit men were beaten to death allegedly by a group of people at a village in Munger district.

The incident took place at Pachrukhi village last night as the two men, identified as Anil Pasi and Setho Pasi, were mercilessly beaten to death by some persons, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Lalit Mohan Sharma said.

The assailants also slit the throat of the victims with sharp-edged weapons in a fit of rage, he said. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, Sharma said, adding, a case has been registered in this connection and raids were being carried out to nab the assailants.

The reason behind the murder was yet to be ascertained, the DSP added.
