Jayalalithaa may advance state polls by a few months
Chennai, May 12: A day after she was acquitted in the disproportionate assets case, former chief minister Jayalalithaa may call for snap polls in Tamil Nadu in the next six months.
If reports are to be believed, AIADMK legislators are likely to meet in a couple of days to elect Jayalalithaa as the party leader.

Jayalalithaa is likely to be sworn as the CM on May 17. In order to capitalise on the current mood and support from her well wishers there are chances that Jayalalithaa may advance the state elections by a few months.
Jayalalithaa did not meet any party workers except a few well wishers on Monday after the verdict was pronounced. She is said to have interacted with everyone via intercom but she did release a statement saying that she was satisfied with the verdict.
