New Delhi, Apr 17 (UNI) Union Minister of state for Tourism and Culture Kanti Singh today said the Delhi Public Library (DPL) will take necessary action on the recommendations of the M C Gupta Committee about its restructuring.
The Committee has recommended that the Library should have a two-tier management structure comprising an enlarged Board and a smaller functional body to be known as Executive Committee.
The strength of the Board may be raised to 30 with the Director General (a new post) as member secretary, the Minister said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
The Committee had also recommended that DPL should have a seven- member Executive Committee headed by the Director General. The Review Committee recommends the creation of two senior positions a Director General.

The two Directors will have an equitable work distribution.
