Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent defended President Trump’s trade strategy after the U.S. Supreme Court limited the use of emergency tariff powers. Bessent insisted the Court did not rule against tariffs themselves — only that the Inte ational Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) couldn’t be used to raise revenue.
