Vasishteswarar Temple, located in Thittai village, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is 11 kilometers north of Thanjavur city in Tamil Nadu. The Chola empire built this temple in the 12th century AD. The temple is one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams, glorified in the Tevaram poems by Tamil Saivite Nayanars Tirugnanasambandar and Thirunavukkarasar.
