The Swaminarayan Mandir in Gadhada is a significant Hindu temple built under the guidance of Swaminarayan, the founder of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya. The temple's construction began with land donated by Dada Khachar, a devoted follower of Swaminarayan. Swaminarayan himself supervised the construction, even participating in the manual labour. The temple was completed on 9 October 1828, and Swaminarayan installed the idols personally.
