  • Legends Beliefs
    Gurudevan's association with Sivagiri dates back to 1904. He built a hermitage on top of the Sivagiri hill. An elementary school and a night school were established there. Many people came to have a darshan of Gurudevan.

    After travelling to many places, Narayana Guru did the prathishta of Sree Sarada at Sivagiri in April 1912. The temple is octagonal in shape and called Sarada Mutt. Devotees worship the goddess by reciting hymns.
