Sri Raja Rajeshwara Temple is one of the most renowned Hindu temples in Telangana, India, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated in the town of Vemulawada and holds historical significance, as the region once served as the capital of the Vemulawada Chalukyas, who ruled from 750 to 973 CE.
Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy, locally known as Rajanna, is with Raja Rajeshwari Devi on the right and Laxmi Sahitha Siddi Vinayaka on the left. The temple also has several smaller shrines (upalayas) dedicated to deities like Ananta Padmanabha Swamy, Rama with Seetha and Laxmana, and Anjaneya Swamy. Located 38 km from Karimnagar, the temple attracts pilgrims who bathe in the holy Dharma Gundam tank before darshan. During Maha Shivaratri, devotees visit in large numbers. A unique ritual here is 'Kode Mokku,' where devotees perform pradakshina with a bull (Nandi), Lord Shiva's vahanam. Inside the temple stands a massive Shiva Lingam.
