The Shri Radha Damodar Temple was founded by Jiva Goswami in 1542 CE. It was originally located at Seva Kunj in Vrindavan. In 1670, due to an invasion by Emperor Aurangzeb, the deities were moved to Jaipur. They returned to Vrindavan in 1739 CE. The temple has been a place of worship since then.
