The Ambabai Temple, dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi, was built in the 7th century during the Chalukya reign. It is a significant Hindu temple with a rich history. The temple has been mentioned in various Puranas and has seen visits from notable dynasties like the Chalukyas, Shilahara, and Yadavas of Devagiri. Adi Shankaracharya also visited this sacred site.
