The temple's inception followed an elaborate Ashtamangala Prasnam in December 2006, leading to its construction on land owned by Kovilvila L. Parukkutti Amma, wife of Justice K. S. Govinda Pillai. The principal deities—Kalari Bhadrakali, Meru Sreechakram, and Karanavar—were consecrated by Tantri Thrippunithura Puliyannoor Murali Narayanan Nambuthiripad on March 21, 2008. The following day, installations of One-hooded Nagaraja, Five-hooded Nagayakshi, and Chitrakootam were performed by Amedamangalathu Vishnu Nambuthiri. The temple is renowned for its grand mural paintings of Kalari Bhadrakali and Lalita Parameswari, with the latter being one of the largest of its kind, as noted by Dr. M.G. Sasibhooshan.
