The Kartikeya Temple in Pehowa, Haryana, is one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Kartikeya in North India. Kartikeya, also known as Murugan, Skanda, Kumara, and Shanmukha, is a widely worshipped Hindu deity.
In ancient times, rulers like the Kushanas from Peshawar and the Yaudheyas of Punjab issued coins with Skanda’s image. He was also worshipped by the Ikshvakus of Andhra and the Gupta dynasty.
