Jayamangala Panchamukha Anjaneya Swamy Temple History and Significance

The temple's inception traces back to the efforts of the Panchamukha Sri Jayamurthi Seva Trust, led by Parama Sri Ramani Anna, also associated with the Nanganallur Anjaneya temple trust in Chennai. In 1999, after attending the Kumbabishekam of a Panchamukha Hanuman Temple near Panruti, Ramani Anna was invited by Mr. Santhanam Iyengar to visit his land en route to Chennai. Feeling a divine presence upon setting foot on the land, Ramani Anna was inspired to establish a temple dedicated to Hanuman. Mr. Santhanam generously donated a portion of his land for this purpose. Construction commenced on June 24, 1999, and the Panchamukha Anjaneya Swamy's statue was installed on June 11, 2003. The temple's consecration (Maha-Kumbabhishekam) was performed on January 31, 2007. The area, known as Panchavati Kshetram, holds significance in the Ramayana as the forest where Lord Rama and Sita spent part of their exile.
