    According to tradition, around 7,000 years ago, Lord Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy and Lord Shiva manifested at what is now Road No. 12, Banjara Hills. The Hare Krishna Golden Temple, Telangana’s first Golden Temple, features a 50-foot Dhwaja Stambh, a 4,600 sq. ft. Maha Mandapam, and a five-tiered Rajagopuram. The temple houses sacred murtis of Lord Narasimha and Goddess Lakshmi. Devotees can pass through the Harinam Japa Mantapa, which has 108 steps for chanting the Hare Krishna mantra, before darshan. A rare Shaligram Shila from Nepal’s Gandaki River is also enshrined in the temple.
