Birla Mandir, a magnificent Hindu temple in Hyderabad, Telangana,is perched atop Naubath Pahad, an 85-meter (280-foot) high hillock, spanning 13 acres. Commissioned by the Birla Foundation, renowned for constructing similar temples across India, it took a decade to complete. The temple was inaugurated in 1976 by Swami Ranganathananda of the Ramakrishna Mission
Lord Venkateswara,Padmavati and Andal are the main deities. The temple also features Shiva, Shakti, Ganesh, Hanuman, Brahma, Saraswati, and Lakshmi. Its walls are adorned with select teachings of great men and verses from Gurbani. Emphasizing inclusivity, Birla temples welcome people of all faiths, a principle advocated by Mahatma Gandhi and other Hindu leaders.
