Baleshwar Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. It is located in Champawat, Uttarakhand, India. The temple was built by the rulers of the Chand dynasty. It is a marvellous symbol of stone carving. The temple is believed to have been constructed in the 13th century AD, around 1390 AD, by Garud Gyan Chand. Reconstruction work was started by Uday Chand between 1420 and 1421 AD. Hari Chand completed the reconstruction from 1423 AD to 1427 AD, as per a copperplate inscription dated 1423 AD found at the temple.
