Ashtalakshmi Temple, located in Ramakrishnapuram, Kothapet, Hyderabad, India, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi in her eight forms. Built in South Indian architectural style, it sits on the outskirts of the city.Established under the guidance of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, the temple was consecrated in April 1996 and is unique in Telangana. Plans are underway to construct a two-story Kalyana Mandapam at a cost of Rs 15 million, along with residential quarters (Archaka Nilayam) for the priests.The Ashtalakshmi Temple, built through generous public contributions, took five years and Rs 10 million to complete. Designed by Padmashri S.M. Ganapati Sthapathi and M. Mathiyalagan Sthapathi, it features 134 lesser-known deity idols on its mahagopuram.The Ashtalakshmi Temple, though built with sand and cement, showcases remarkable artistry. Inside, gold-adorned idols of the eight forms of Lakshmi—Adilakshmi, Aishwaryalakshmi, Santanalakshmi, Dhanalakshmi, Dhanyalakshmi, Gajalakshmi, Vijayalakshmi, and Varalakshmi—are enshrined. The temple’s exterior features intricate carvings on the gopuram.
