Adhi Parasakthi Siddhar Peetam History and Significance

In the 1960s, a neem tree stood at the site where the temple's sanctum sanctorum is now located. Unlike typical neem trees, this one secreted a sweet nectar, which locals believed had healing properties. In 1966, a storm uprooted the tree, revealing a Swayambu—a naturally formed, self-emerging oval-shaped stone. Recognizing its sanctity, villagers built a small hut over it and began conducting poojas. This site, known as Siddhar Peetam, is believed to be the final resting place of 21 Siddhars (enlightened souls) who attained Jeeva Samadhi here. On November 25, 1977, the idol of Mother Adhi Parasakthi was installed in the sanctum sanctorum. The three-foot-tall idol depicts the goddess seated on a thousand-petaled lotus, symbolizing spiritual enlightenment.
