The cold wave-like weather was most pronounced in Kolar, which recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 8.9°C. Bengaluru Rural followed with 9°C, while Chikkaballapura reported 9.6°C, reflecting a widespread fall in night temperatures across interior Karnataka.

The weather department has also warned of a further fall in minimum temperatures by 2-4°C over the next five days. Minimum temperatures are expected to remain 2-5°C below normal across Karnataka, suggesting prolonged cold weather conditions.

For Bengaluru, the weather forecast predicts a partly cloudy sky with mist likely during early morning hours. Cold morning conditions are expected to continue, with the city recording a maximum temperature of around 29°C and a minimum temperature of 16°C.
Northeast Monsoon Weather Update
Meanwhile, weather conditions are becoming favourable for the cessation of Northeast monsoon rains over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe, and adjoining areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka. An upper air cyclonic circulation over the Comorin area, between 0.9 km and 1.5 km above mean sea level, persists, though rainfall activity has largely weakened.
