Ketan Agarwal's Mother Writes Emotional Letter To PM Modi, 'Meri Poori Duniya Chali Gayi'

'I Never Imagined I Would Have To Seek Justice For My Son'

She began the letter with 'Pranam' and introduced herself as Ketan's mother. "My name is Rakhi Agarwal, and I am the mother of Ketan Agarwal," she wrote.

Like any other mother she said that she never imagined that she would have to write to the Prime Minister seeking justice for her own son. She wanted to build a beautiful life, get him married and grow old with his family. "Ek maa ke liye isse bada dard aur koi nahi hota," Rakhi wrote, describing the unimaginable pain of a mother losing her son.

'Meri Poori Duniya Chali Gayi'

Mourning about Ketan's death, she said her son was brutally murdered and that her entire world disappeared with him. "My son was brutally murdered, and with him, meri poori duniya chali gayi," she wrote.

How devastating it is when she says that every corner of her home now reminds her of Ketan. She also spoke about the silence that has replaced her son's laughter.

According to Rakhi, these reminders make her realise every day that Ketan will never return home. Rakhi also revealed that after Ketan's death the family suffered another loss.

Her father-in-law passed away just 20 days after Ketan's murder. She said that he was too close with his grandson and could not bear the grief. Within a matter of days, Rakhi said, the family had lost two generations. The back-to-back deaths left the family struggling with immense grief.

'Modi Ji, Main Sirf Ek Maa Hoon'

The letter comes to an emotional moment when she appeals as a mother. "Modi Ji, main sirf ek maa hoon," she wrote. "I am only asking for justice," she said.

She said that with days passing by the justice only deepens with pain. She said that as Ketan can never return, Rakhi said those responsible for killing her son must face the hardest punishment available under law. "Bas itna chahti hoon ki mere bete ko insaaf mile," she wrote.

'Please Do Not Let Ketan Become Just Another Case File'

In her request she said that Ketan should not reduce to just another case file. "Please do not let Ketan become just another case file," the letter read.

She added that Ketan was someone's son, brother, grandson but for her he was her entire world. "He was someone's son, someone's grandson, someone's brother, but to me, woh meri poori duniya tha," she wrote.

'Maa Abhi Bhi Tere Liye Lad Rahi Hai'

Rakhi concluded her letter by saying that she looks at Ketan's picture and tells him, "Beta, Maa abhi bhi tere liye lad rahi hai, Beta... tujhe insaaf mil gaya."
"I sincerely hope you will hear the voice of a grieving mother," Rakhi wrote before ending her letter with folded hands.
