Sonakshi Sinha Speaks Out After Sonam Wangchuk's Hospital Shift, Urges Peaceful Protest, Watch


Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha once again spoke out after climate activist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk was forcefully taken from Delhi's Jantar Mantar to Safeguarding Hospital during his indefinite hunger strike.

Sonakshi called the incident "not right", the actor praised the students and young people supporting Wangchuk and appealed to them to continue their protest peacefully. Her statement comes as preparations continue for the 'Sansad Chalo' March on July 20.

Sonakshi Sinha Questions Police Action

In her video shared on social media Sonakshi said that she was relieved to know that Wangchuk was safe and his wife was by his side. She further said that what happened to him was not right. She further praised the students and young supporters who have joined the movement.

She said they had remained calm, respectful and non-violent despite facing difficulties. According to her, their peaceful approach reflects the true strength of India's youth.
She added that their commitment to their beliefs, even during challenging circumstances, deserved appreciation.

Appeal Ahead of July 20 Parliament March

Sonakshi urged the protesters to continue raising voices peacefully and to maintain unity and respect. She believes that all citizen has the right to question authorities especially if it was done peaceful and without violence.

Sonam Wangchuk Shifted to Hospital

Informing that Sonam Wangchuk was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital early on Saturday after completing 21 days of his hunger strike. The Delhi police said that it was Delhi High Court's order to keep Wangchuk under best medical observation.
