Mamata Banerjee's transformation from Tigress to Snake!
Within twenty-four hours, Mamata Banerjee transformed from a tigress to a snake. Shocked? To get details, read on.
Following dispute over Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in retail, fuel price hike, subsidised LPG cylinders cap, Trinamool Congress (TMC) put an end to its tie with UPA when six TMC ministers resigned from UPA cabinet on Friday, Sep 21.
"I am not afraid of anyone. As long as I live, I'll live like a tigress," stated the CM soon after her ministers put down the papers to prime minister Manmohan Singh and president Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi.
Meanwhile, Congress ministers in Ms Banerjee's state cabinet too decided to resign. Six ministers of the Congress party tendered their resignation to the chief minister in Kolkata on Saturday.
After accepting the ministers' resignation, Mamta Banerjee chided, "I can always hiss if can't bite. If the people's rights are endangered we will hiss. We can bow our heads to Ma, Mati, Maanush, but not to the arrogance of power."
"When we are shouted at, the louder will be our protest. We roar when intimidated. This is our pride. We may be poor, but we have dignity. People are the main assets of democracy. What Bengal thinks today, the world thinks tomorrow," added the CM.
