Six employees suspended in Tripura for corruption
Agartala, June 2 (UNI) The Tripura government has suspended six employees, including an Integrated Child Development Supervisor (ICDS), yesterday following corruption charges and negligence of duty.
Official sources said here today that ICDS of Kumarghat Rural Development Block in North Tripura Santosh Das was suspended for 'negligence of duty and misbehaviour with the citizens.' The five others suspended were panchayat secretaries posted in different village panchayats of North Tripura, accused of 'defalcating public funds'. Suspension orders had been issued after primary investigations, sources said.
Earlier, the state government suspended 39 panchayat secretaries and 11 other government officials of different departments for corruption and negligence of duty, sources added.
