Pension forms to be avaliable with Panchayats in Punjab

Chandigarh, May 21 (UNI) To avoid unnecessary inconvenience to the people on account of non availability of forms relating to pension and other financial assistance schemes, the Punjab Government has decided to ensure the availability of these forms in all the offices of Block Development and Panchayat Officers (BDPOs).

These forms will also be avaliable with the Panchayats in rural areas and in the offices of Executive Officers of Municipal Councils in urban areas instead of Sub Divisional Offices.

Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman said that a decision to this effect was taken by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal during a Sangat Darshan programme here today.

He directed the Social Security and Development of Women and Children Department to ensure the availability of these forms in the offices of BDPOs and Panchayats.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Social Security has issued detailed instructions to all the District Social Security Officers to make adequate arrangements for the requisite supply of these forms.
