Wipro launches Santoor variant in Gujarat
Ahmedabad, Sept 12 (UNI) Santoor, the flagship brand in the Wipro Consumer Care &Lighting stable, today announced the launch of its Santoor White in Gujarat.
''This is not a relaunch of Santoor but a new variant developed after extensive consumer research to arrive at the best possible product mix,'' said Mr Anil Chugh, vice president-sales, Wipro Consumer Care&Lighting here today.
Santoor enjoys two decades of trust since its launch in 1986 and has grown to be counted amongst the Rs 4,000 crores toilet soaps market with a market share of Rs 400 crores, a growth of 25 per cent, Mr Chugh said.
''With a Rs 601 crores net revenues last year and with 13.4 per cent operating margins we are among the top five brands and with a 30 per cent plus growth in the state we are fast becoming one of the most popular soaps in Gujarat,'' Mr Chugh said. Santoor White along with its mother brand is geared to get greater shares and higher growth in WCCLG key markets. And in the last three years we have also acquired Chandrika soaps, Glucovita and Northwest switches, he added.
Santoor is now available in three variants Santoor (sandal&turmeric), Santoor White (sandal&almond milk) and Santoor Chandan which is a premium soap manufactured with extracts of sandalwood oil. The Santoor White is available in two packs viz., 100 gms at Rs 13 and a 125 gms consumer offer set-pack of four soaps at Rs 55.
