Seabuckthorn Indage launches leb berry nectars in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Jun 22 (UNI) Seabuckthorn Indage Limited (SIL), a Rs 500-crore group, known by its major enterprises in the field of Wines and champagnes, today announced the launch of their range of Leh Berry juices and nectars in Gujarat.

A range of fresh juices and nectars under the umbrella brandname, Leh Berry, includes eight super-juice variants: Seabuckthorn, Pineapple Apple, Apple Peach, Mixed Fruit, Orange, Blackcurrant, Mango and Guava.

The company had earlier test marketed some of the flavours in other states of India, barring North-Eastern states. After receiving an overwhelming response, the Company has decided to launch the entire range and enter other markets in Gujarat, M S Dhanota, president, Seabuckthorn Indage Ltd, told mediapersons here today.

Mr Dhanota said, ''We have introduced these juices in Gujarat as we feel there is huge potential in this market. Leb Berry juices are nutritious as well as delicious and we are sure that the variety of flavours will find appeal with the masses.'' Leh Berry juices and nectars are just the first major steps in introducing the super fruit Seabuckthorn to the huge market worth Rs 800-crore per annum in India, thus Leh Berry aims at becoming the country's leading juice and nectar brand in the near future, he said.

Mr Dhanota said, the SIL has planned up very aggressive marketing strategy. It plans to launch each of the seabuckthorn products through the shop-to-shop concept, where retailers would be brought in as marketing partners thus bringing the whole family of consumers, retailers and manufacturers together.

Talking about future plans of the company, he said, the company has planned to set up integrated manufacturing cum R&D facility with the latest state-of-the-art technology in the state of Himachal Pradesh with an investment of Rs 25-crore.

While company is planning to invest total Rs 100-crore, including media campaign, both eletronics and print, of Rs 8-crore, Mr Dhanota added.

Gujarat has juice market of Rs 4-crore per annum, the SIL is aiming to cover huge chunk of it on the first year, he added.
