Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 06 (UNI) A Kerala-based software company today announced successful implementation of 'iFly,' a product for managing staff travel requirement, for South African Airways (SAA).

IBS Software Services, a solutions provider to travel, transport and logistics industries, said in a statement here that the SAA was the second customer for IBS' iFly, the first being Air New Zealand.

Travel concessions were a sought after benefit by airline staff.

iFly was a web-based solution built on new generation technology that automated airline staff travel process. iFly enabled self-serviced environment for staff to use concessions and make bookings directly through its comprehensive booking module. The rules manager module of iFly helped stafff travel administrators to define and maintain staff travel policies and rules centrally.

Mike Re, CIO, South African Airways, said implementation of the new system had generated steady increase in the number of staff bookings as it was a much simplified and manageable solution.

V K Mathews, Chairman and Managing Director, IBS Group, said 'Staff travel is an area with huge potential for saving, especially productive work hours of employees. The generic nature of the product helped us quicken our pace for customisation during implementation.' UNI CR AA 1738
