Shazia Ilmi likely to quit AAP on May 24 over political differences
Sources said that Ilmi is likely to address a press conference tomorrow, May 24 in the capital where she is likely to announce her decision. Speaking to a leading news channel Ilmi said that 'AAP needed to reinvent itself.'
Ilmi had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Ghaziabad, where she was pitted against BJP's Gen VK Singh and Congress's Raj Babbar. However, she lost to VK Singh by a huge margin.
Ilmi said that the AAP made several mistakes and it needed to change its strategy.'
She also added that she did not agree to many decisions that the party leaders took and was in fact unhappy with those decisions.
Shazia Ilmi was one of Arvind Kejriwal's close confidante and hass been an active worker of the party since its inception.
