New Delhi, Nov 2: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi was detained for the second time on Wednesday after he met the family of an ex-serviceman Ram Kishan Grewal, who allegedly committed suicide over the delay in implementation of the OROP scheme.

Gandhi, however, was released later. Congress leader Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia too was detained by the police. Both and other senior leaders were taken to Mandir Marg police station.
Meanwhile, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was detained on Wednesday night after he was stopped from meeting Grewal's family members.

There was high drama outside the Parliament Street Police station where Kejriwal and other AAP leaders were protesting. TV reports suggested that Kejriwal's convoy was stopped by the police.
AAP leaders Dilip Pandey and Sanjay Singh were detained as they protested outside Parliament street police station. Kejriwal, speaking to reporters, said: "My vehicle is surrounded by police. They are not allowing us to leave."

Gandhi was detained at the RML Hospital earlier in the day, when he tried to meet the family members of ex-serviceman Ram Kishan Grewal, who allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday over the One Rank-One Pension issue.
