Stockholm, Dec 11: It was the 10th death anniversary of Alfred Nobel and the mood inside the Stockholm Concert Hall oozed of intellect and sobriety. With every Nobel Prize honoured, the physicist scientist Alfred Nobel was remembered. And who were there to remember him? None other than geniuses from across the world.

10th of December 2013, also the 10th death anniversary of the scientist, found the greatest conglomerates of scientists in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine and Literature who were awarded in Stockholm (as per the will of the acientist). Oslo, however, held the Nobel Peace Prize. The names of the Nobel Leureates were announced in October and they received their medals yesterday.

Who's won the Nobel Prize

Here is a comprehensive list of all the scientists who won the Nobel Prize:

Nobel Peace Prize: Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), whose Director General Ahmet Üzümcü said that the prize was a symbol of support support for the OPCW's current mission in Syria.

Nobel Prize for Literature: 82-year old Canadian author Alice Munro won the prize. Her daughter received the prize on her behalf.

Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Science: Was awarded to US economists Eugene F. Fama and Lars Peter Hansen of the University of Chicago and to Norbert J. Schiller of Yale. According to the panel, their readings and methods influenced the stock markets and the behavior of investors. They were mainly awarded for their method of observing the price formation processes on the stock markets.

Nobel Prize for Chemistry: Scientists Martin Kaplus, Michael Levitt, and Arieh Warshel from the US received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their computer models that decode chemical processes.

Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine: Won by German biochemist Thomas Südhof and two US scientists James Rothman and Randy Schekman. They discovered a transport mechanism in human cells whose defects may cause diabetes or tetanus. Thomas Südhof is a lecturer at the University of Stanford and before that he worked at the Max Planck Institute in Göttingen.
