Nobel Literature Prize leaves Bob Dylan ‘speechless’, fans turn garrulous on hearing from the legend
At last, legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan spoke about how he felt after winning the Nobel Prize for Literature. Dylan says, the award left him "speechless".
Bengaluru, Oct 29: Finally, breaking his silence, American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, has told the Swedish Academy that he will accept the prize.
Despite, repeated attempts by the Swedish Academy, to contact Dylan since it named him as the winner on October 13, media-shy legendary singer-songwriter remained unavailable for comment.
Dylan said the honour had left him "speechless", the Nobel Foundation said in a statement.
The foundation said it had not yet been decided if the singer would attend the awards ceremony in December.
However, Dylan told the Telegraph that he intended to pick up the award in person "if at all possible".
