When ex-Cong Minister made 'shameful comment' about Smriti Irani, PM Modi
New Delhi, Dec 28: Assam Congress leader and former Agriculture Minister of the State Nilamoni Sen Deka has stoked up controversy.
On Sunday, Deka made obnoxious comment about Union Minister Smriti Irani.
While addressing a public meeting in the Nalbari district, he reportedly said that many people refer to Irani as the second wife of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He was later slammed by BJP leaders including party general secretary Ram Madhav. Assailing Nilamoni sen, Madhav termed the comment as "shameful assertion".
State unit of the party also slammed Congress leader over his remark against Irani.
Sarbananda Sonowal who is Union Sports Minister and Assam unit BJP Chief later announced that party will soon file defamation case against Congress leader.
