Bengaluru, April 25: The Hizb ut Tahrir says that it is a non violent political party. Osman Bakhach the director of the Central Media office says that they do not have an armed wing and have always abided by a political non-violent approach.
Intelligence Bureau officials had raised concern over the activities of the HuT which was growing in strength in Bangladesh.
It was said that the activities of the HuT in Bangladesh is likely to spill over into India and there was a security concern.
'We are a non-violent group'
Bakhach says that Hizb ut Tahrir is a non-violent political party which restricts itself to intellectual and political work only to convey the Islamic Call of re-establishing the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood in the Muslim countries.
This is due to the party's strict adherence to the political methodology of Prophet Muhammad who undertook only intellectual and political work to convey the Islamic Call and establish the Islamic state. The party does not resort to any form of violent activities and this is a known established fact. The party does not have any armed wing anywhere the party operates.
We never had, and never will have a so-called "armed wing" , neither within India nor in any other country These statements by the media agencies are the pure outcome of hallucination of a sick mind, or a criminal mind.
We reiterate, in over 60 years since the Hizb's formation, we have abided by our political non-violent approach. To us this is not a matter of expediency, but rather an obligation since we strictly follow the methodology of the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him).
Our only weapon that we fully utilize is our faith in our Lord the Creator, and the word of Truth that we believe in, and gladly offer to share with the world at large; anybody anywhere is more than welcome to engage with us in serious intelligent intellectual political debate/discussion.
No more no less; it's entirely up to him/her to accept what he hears from us or reject it. We do not offer monetary bribes nor do we threaten use of violence to impose our opinions upon others, much less to spread lies.
