Good News: Timing for booking train Tatkal ticket revised, 50% refund on cancellation
New Delhi, June 10: Booking Tatkal ticket is like winning a war in India. But Indian Railways has made a few changes in the system and booking Tatkal ticket will be easy now.
The Railways has changed the timing for booking Tatkal tickets. According to the new timings, Tatkal booking for AC classes will begin at 10 am and will end at 11 am.

Tatkal booking for non-AC classes will begin at 11 am and will continue till noon. Meanwhile, the Railways also informed that customers can get a refund of upto 50 per cent on cancellation of Tatkal ticket.
Rail passengers will be happy now as Indian Railways did not give any refund on cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets.

Railways is likely to launch its 'Tatkal Special' train service, travelling on which will be dearer than on normal trains, informed officials.
The Railways has also relaxed the advance reservation period for Tatkal Special trains. The advance reservation period is of a minimum 10 days and a maximum of 60 days.
