Slaughtered piglet found inside Sonipat mosque, tension averted
One could imagine the situation if the police have not acted immediately after a piglet was found in the mosque in Sonipat of Haryana.

Sonipat

Friday
morning
after
a
slaughtered
piglet
was
found
in
the
mosque.
According
to
reports,
Noor
Mohammad,
the
Imam
of
the
mosque
found
the
piglet
around
7
am
and
alerted
the
police,
Based on the information, the police reached the spot along with forensic experts for investigation. Reports said that the immediate action by police had averted any untoward incident between the religious people.
Mohana police officer said that it was a 15-20 day old piglet that was slaughtered. He added that the police action against the incident had satisfied the Muslim families and mentioned that security forces were deployed in the incident.
The police officer said that a case was registered under Section 295 and investigation was launched to arrest the accused at the earliest.
Villagers suspect that the piglet was thrown over the wall as all the doors of the mosque were closed. They said that the piglet was thrown somewhere around 6-7 am after the morning prayers.
The village sarpanch Ishwar Singh said that he will give full support in the investigation and said he too condemns the act that causes violence between Hindu-Muslim community.
He added that 50 Muslim families are living in the village and all condemn the act.
