A video, which was widely circulated and distributed through mobile phones and social networking sites, reportedly was shot either in Pakistan or Afghanistan. However, the the video was circulated in the disturbed region saying it was shot in Muzaffarnagar.
The two-year old video was downloaded from 'Youtube' and circulated widely in Muzaffarnagar and its adjoining areas and allegedly incited people who indulged in riots.

According to sources, cyber experts started examining the video and they were trying to find the source of circulation of the controversial video.
Meanwhile, some sources informed that the video, which had created ruckus in the sensitive area, is still in circulation. Uttar Pradesh Police, however, issued an appeal urging people not to pay attention to the rumours regarding the video. Police also have released an advertisement creating awareness among people.
The Uttar Pradesh government has also announced a cash reward of Rs one lakh to anyone providing clue to the exact source of the CD/clipping.
