Video: Twitter gets emotional when Narendra Modi cries, bows down before Parliament
The country was moved by Modi's act when he bowed down before the Parliament while entering the Central Hall of the House. All eyes were glued to TV screen as BJP President Rajnath Singh, veteran leader LK Advani and other party leaders officially elected Modi as their PM nominee. However, everyone was surprised and when Modi broke into tears during his half-an-hour speech.
Referring to Advani's speech, Modi said, "Please don't use the word kripa (blessing) while talking about me, Advaniji."
The outgoing Gujarat CM, who is all set to take oath as the PM of India, paused for a drink of water and composed himself before continuing.
He said, "Can a son ever do his mother kripa? The party is my mother, it has done me the favour of giving me a chance to serve it." Many other BJP leaders too got emotional.

Many of them looked equally moved. "You see Modi not because Modi's stature is large. You See Modi because party elders hoisted me on their shoulders," said the PM-elect.
86-year-old Advani too broke into tears while embracing Modi moments after party MPs endorsed his proposal to name him their leader, setting the stage for him to form the new government.
"I have had a weakness..,. I am prone to tears. I thank the party and Narendra Modi for doing the kripa of letting me witness an unforgettable moment in our history," said Advani.
While Modi and other NDA leaders got emotional, micro-blogging site Twitter was flooded with emotional tweets praising Modi.
