Manipur shocker: Madrassa headmaster killed for stealing cow

Imphal, Nov 3: In yet another shocking incident, a headmaster of the government primary madrassa was lynched to death in Manipur. The 55 year old headmaster named Md Hasmad Ali was killed allegedly for stealing cow from the neighbouring village.

Reportedly the ghastly incident took place in Keirao Makting village of Imphal East district. It is being said that the area where headmaster was killed is dominated by Manipuri Muslims, known as Pangals.

Police said that body of the deceased was found five km away from his house.

Following the recovery of the body, a large number of residents of Keirao Makting village stormed the Irilbung police station demanding arrest of the culprits. Tension griped the whole area, police said.
