Lt Governor extends Onam greetings
Puducherry, Aug 26: Lt Governor of Puducherry Lt General (retired) A K Singh has extended his greetings and good wishes to people of Puducherry in connection with Onam festival.
In a message issued on Wednesday the Lt Governor said that `Onam is celebrated as the most significant festival of ancient Kerala.
It is also celebrated to mark harfvest and bringing memories of a past golden era reassuring peace and prosperity`. R.Radhakriahnan the Member of Parliament from Puducherry has in his message wished the people of Puducherry and particularly the Malayalees a happy onam festival.
He highlighted the features of the festival and also the charactestic qualities of charity and humaneness marking the festival.
