Karnataka: Anti-Christian remarks on Facebook, police registers case
Shimoga: Karnataka Police on Monday, March 2, registered a case and booked one for posting derogatory comments against Christians in the social media.
The action came after the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) approached City Police Commissioner S Murugan filing a complaint, which states that the comment targetted Jesus Christ and Christian beliefs.

According to the complaint, Shriram Yadapadithaya from Bengaluru allegedly posted comments on social networking website Facebook, hurting sentiments of the community.
A news report says that the delegation lead by ICYM Director Fr Ronald D'souza have filed the complaint at the Pandeshwar police station, after receiving proper directions from the police officials.
The police assured that appropriate action will be taken against the accused without further delay.
After filing the complaint, the members pointed out that the derogatory remarks in social media against community will result in communal disharmony and violence.
The delegation comprised of Roy Castelino, Fr JB Crasta, Stanley, Alvares, Sheldon Crasta, Jackson Saldana and Sandeep Monteiro.
