Accident Shocker: Cracks within BJP, MP Babul Supriyo slams Hema Malini

Mumbai, July 10: Hema Malini, the Dream Girl of Bollywood, has been witnessing a nightmare ever since a child during an accident at Dausa, Rajasthan.

Hema Malini, the actress-turned-BJP MP, now faced criticism from her own party. Babul Supriyo, the singer and BJP MP from West Bengal, said that the actress had made a "brutal mistake".

Speaking about the fatal accident in Rajasthan, Babul Supriyo was quoted as saying, "It was a brutal error on part of everyone who was there on the scene, the accident scene, including Hemaji, to have left the child back there on the road. That's a brutal mistake. Let's accept that."

However, Supriyo also criticised the family of the deceased child. The BJP MP was critical of the family as the 2-year-old girl sitting on her mother's lap in the front seat, which he said, put her at risk.

Supriyo's statement came just a day after Hema Malini's tweet in which she put all blame on the father of the child. While writing on micro-blogging site Twitter, Hema Malini wrote, "My heart goes out to the child who unnecessarily lost her life and the family members who have been injured in the accident."

"How I wish the girl's father had followed the traffic rules - thn this accident could have been averted & the lil one's life safe," she added. While the actress accused the father of the child of violating traffic rules, the father reiterated his claim that his child could have been saved if she was taken to hospital along with the actress.
