Following intel alert from Pak, Rajnath Singh calls for urgent security meet
New Delhi, Mar 7: Home Minister Rajnath Singh has called for a security meeting today following the intercept that ten terrorists had entered into the country. Pakistan had shared with India intelligence stating that ten terrorists may have slipped into India with an intention of striking at Gujarat.
The Home Minister has called for a meeting with top security officials to assess the situation. The home minister wants to take stock of the situation and also discuss the preparedness of the forces in the wake of this very actionable intelligence being shared from Pakistan.
New Delhi on terror alert: Security beefed up at crowded places
Security was also heightened following inputs that suggested that attacks may target the Maha Shivaratri celebrations.
Raids and combing operations were carried out. Security at all important locations in Gujarat was stepped up. Security was also stepped up in New Delhi after reports suggested that some of the terrorists could have slipped into the national capital.
