According to a report published in Times of India, over a dozen workers from Uttar Pradesh took shelter in a bus after being duped by a placement agency in Dubai.

These workers were promised highly paid jobs but were left in lurch after landing in Dubai two months ago.

Many of them borrowed money from local money landers to meet the visa and travelling expenses.

After a fortnight-long ordeal, help came from NRIs in Dubai. "Girish Pant has been looking after us for over a week now,'' said one of the workers.

Medical facilities and shelter have also been for them by NRIs.
