Video: Sonia Gandhi's PHD degree fake, she studied till 5th standard only, claims Swamy

New Delhi, June 26: In the wake of political leaders' educational qualification under the lens, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has given yet another shocking statement.

Swamy, who is known for stocking controversies with his statements has said that Sonia Gandhi's PHD degree is fake. Swamy further said that Congress president has only studied till fifth standard.

While speaking in a function in Bangalore, BJP leader claimed that he had reiterated this statement earlier also.

Swamy said, "In the affidavit, Sonia Gandhi claims that she did her PHD degree from Cambridge University in London. But I can prove that she has a fake degree. She could be jailed like Aam aadmi Party leader Jitender Singh Tomar".

He further stated, "When i had filled a PIL over the issue, honorable court told me to leave the matter as it is an old case".

BJP leader said that Sonia Gandhi has lied about her birthplace also. She has given false informations about her citizenship in her passport and Indian citizenship form.

Earlier, Swamy had said that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi was caught with 1.60 lakh dollar and white powder by US police in 2001.
