TN polls: Thanthi TV survey predicts close fight between AIADMK-DMK
Chennai, May 9: An opinion poll initiative undertaken by Thanthi TV with Krish Infomedia with a sample population of 35,600 (around 150 people in each constituency) showed the AIADMK-led alliance leading in 22 seats in Tamil Nadu.
The DMK, on the other hand, was predicted to win nine seats. In 19 constituencies, the two parties were locked in a close fight.
The survey began on April 15 when neither of the two parties had replaced their candidates announced originally.
In North and South Tamil Nadu, the AIADMK and DMK are reportedly ahead in 13 constituencies each while the battle is close in another 14.
On Tuesday, the results of opinion poll undertaken by News 7 Television and Dinamalar for the southern region were released. Over 2.3 lakh respondents were reportdly covered in the survey.
The survey showed the DMK ahead in 30 constituencies in the southern districts while the ruling AIADMK was ahead in 24. The BJP and the People's Welfare Front are leading in one seat each, the survey said. In one seat, both the major Dravidian parties were closely placed.
