While there have been reports of electric scooters, this is probably for the first time the news of an electric car catching fire in India has come to light.

Many netizens on X responded to the incident on Twitter. One user said, "EV is still not fully secure !😳."

The second user stated, "Front looks like Mahindra e20 🙄 It's scary & needs to be investigated by the manufacturer 🙏" "Electric cars still are a question," another added.

Fourth one commented, "Most probably Mahindra e20. Launched in 2013 .Old tech."

A netizen claimed, "At the end of the insurance investigation, it will be closed as owner negligence on battery maintenance or parking in sunlight for a longer time etc.,😪 Eventually, Mahindra will sweep this under carpet and keeps their social image intact by gifting few EVs to sport superstars."

Another one noted, "imagine how many steam engines can be powered by all that thermal energy."
