SRK takes up cause of disabled people, meets special fan
The differently abled young man says he is a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan and his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Along with meeting Shahrukh, Boss also met the entire KKR team and even cheered for them.
Boss' delighted mother Rajani Goenka says, "Initially we were not allowed inside the hotel where the team and Shah Rukh were staying. I was directed towards the star's managers. They facilitated the meeting between my son and SRK."
Shahrukh invited his 21-year-old fan to the Eden Garden grounds to watch KKR team play on Wednesday at the sixth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).
Goenka adds, "It was a dream come true for my son and I am extremely happy that SRK was so kind and sweet to him. We never felt that we were meeting him for the first time."
According to United Nations around 10 per cent of the world's population, or 650 million people, live with a disability. They are the world's largest minority. Poverty, stigma and illiteracy further pushes disabled population to the background. Hardly the world talks about issues facing the disabled population. They are the invisible minority.
