Mumbai, Jan 29: It seems that Shahrukh Khan (SRK) has become the new scapegoat of dirty diplomacy between India-Pakistan. Entering into the recent controversy on the Bollywood superstar, now Shiv Sena slammed Pakistan and its Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

Just a day after Malik's statement regarding Shahrukh and his security in India, Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut on Tuesday, Jan 29 said, "It's better if Malik does not meddle in our affairs. SRK should be given security or not is to be decided by us not Pakistan."

Meanwhile, Union Home Secretary RK Singh also slammed the Pakistan minister saying, "We are capable of looking at the security of our own citizens. Let him (Rehman Malik) worry about his own."

Earlier on Monday, Malik ignited the controversy which was raised by Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) chief Hafiz Saeed who had invited SRK to shift to Pakistan. Commenting on the burning issue, Malik was quoted as saying, "He (Shahrukh) is born Indian and he would like to remain Indian, but I will request the government of India (to) please provide him security."

"I would like to request all Indian brothers and sisters and all those who are talking in a negative way about Shahrukh, they should know he is a movie star," added Malik.

Malik made the remarks while interacting with reporters at a reception organised by High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal to mark India's Republic Day.

He was responding to questions about a first-person account penned by Shahrukh in a magazine, in which the star focused on his experiences as a Muslim in the post-9/11 world.

Sharing his experience, the star wrote, "I sometimes become the inadvertent object of political leaders who choose to make me a symbol of all that they think is wrong and unpatriotic about Muslims in India."
