Bangalore, Nov 2: Bangaloreans are known to cherish their weekend as they celebrate it with great fun and frolic. However, according to Met Department reports, cyclone Nilam is going to spoil weekend fun in the city. Met Department on Friday, Nov 2 said that Bangalore would receive rainfall on Saturday and Sunday. Temperature will also remain low in the city.

"Heavy to very heavy rain is forecast in the state in the next 48 hours,'' Met department director-incharge B Puttanna said. The minimum temperature is likely to be around 20 degrees Celsius in the city during this time.

Met Department informed that cyclone Nilam moved further into Karnataka on Thursday. "Around 8.30 am on Thursday, the cyclone crossed Chitradurga, but the depression is centred there," said a Met Department official.

For the last two days, Bangalore is experiencing incessant rainfall. Temperature had fallen to almost 18 degree Celsius. Life was thrown out of gear due to bad weather conditions.

Bangalore has suffered power outages, uprooting of trees and roads turning into slush pools. Due to bad weather conditions, people were forced to stay indoors.

"All our weekend plans have been thrown out of gear. We slog hard throughout the week to enjoy our weekends. But now it seems impossible," rued Payal.
